Therapy for Depression

You are always a valuable, worthwhile human being - not because anybody says so, not because you’re successful, not because you make a lot of money - but because you decide to believe it and for no other reason.
— Wayne Dyer

Feeling sad, stuck, and depressed.

Life is a struggle when you feel sad, stuck, and depressed. Everybody experiences setbacks in life, but it’s not healthy when these experiences prevent you from feeling happiness and joy.

What are the symptoms of depression?

Depression may first appear as a lack of motivation. You may lose interest in things you used to enjoy. Your appetite could change. You may feel extra tired and low on energy. You may notice negative thoughts crowding your mind, such as feeling like a failure. You may have a hard time focusing on tasks.

How do you treat depression?

At first, it helps to just talk about what is bothering you. This allows you to feel heard and understood. Your feelings are valid. But there is a way to change how you feel about situations. Through an exploration of your past and present, I can help you shift your perspective of life. Sometimes the root of your depression comes from past trauma, and we can address this to clear the source of your pain.

What if I’m too scared to talk about my feelings?

You are always in control of the session. As your therapist, I understand the pain you are feeling. I treat each person as an individual with a customized approach. I try to make you feel safe. I will give you tools to help you uncover your joy again.
